Atule Emmanuel

Atule Emmanuel from Ghana had a dream to make it big. Like so many students aspiring to study abroad. In today’s competitive world, finding an opportunity and making full use of it is not easy. A bachelors in Economics is one of the more sought-after courses across the globe. With plenty of opportunities in the 21st century job market, economics is considered as an evergreen subject due to its high utility and huge demand. The significance of economics has greatly increased post reforms era. Job opportunities have increased manifolds post liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation (LPG), and after merging of world economy. Well-trained economists are in huge demand not only in Ghana but also across the world for rapidly globalising economic scenario. They are hired as economic analysts, researchers and consultants. Private sector also offers jobs for economic graduates in the fields like private banks, MNCs, BPOs, KPOs, Business journals, and newspapers. Also, one can opt for higher studies in order to specialize in the field, depending upon individual interests.

Getting admission into such a course which opens up so many career opportunities is of course not easy, regardless of where you apply, and even if one does happen to gain admission, paying the extremely high tuition fees of universities abroad can definitely lead to a massive debt. But Atule chose not to give up on his dreams, and seeing his passion for higher education and his merit, he got a scholarship of 55% to study bachelors in Economics through the Edoofa Scholarship Program. And now the young man from Ghana is living his dreams
